10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
1 Corinthians 1:18
18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
1 Corinthians 2:14
14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
2 Corinthians 12:9
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
It is important to learn to look at our problems in the light of God’s power instead of looking at God in the shadow of our problems.
The life and teaching of Jesus turn the world upside down every day. The worldly view of power is a way to gain control over others. But having all authority in heaven and earth, Jesus chose to serve others. He held children in His arms, healed the sick, washed the disciples’ feet, and died on the cross for the sins of the world. When we follow Jesus, we receive this same power to serve. And are called to be servants of Christ as believers. Following His example and serving just as He did.
There is only one name with power to save!
19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”
