It is important to learn to look at our problems in the light of God’s power instead of looking at God in the shadow of our problems.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
The life and teaching of Jesus turn the world upside down every day. The worldly view of power is a way to gain control over others. But having all authority in heaven and earth, Jesus chose to serve others. He held children in His arms, healed the sick, washed the disciples’ feet, and died on the cross for the sins of the world. When we follow Jesus, we receive this same power to serve. And are called to be servants of Christ as believers. Following His example and serving just as He did.
There is only one name with power to save!
Sometimes we feel as though we don’t understand ourselves. But God’s understanding has no limit. He understands us fully. If you’re feeling troubled and feel like you don’t understand yourself, remember that God understands you perfectly.
According to Acts 14:15-18, Paul and Barnabas explained to the people of Lystra that God never leaves Himself “without testimony.” That rain from heaven and crops in their seasons, for example, are evidence of His goodness. If you are ever in doubt about God, just look around and you will see plenty of evidence that He is at work in the world.
O LORD, You have searched me and known me.
Jesus loves you.
9 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. 10 Just as Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove.
The peace of God surpasses all understanding. Let God’s peace guard your heart against anxiety today.
